Born in New York to an Italian mother & Danish father, Diana was raised between New York, Rome & Copenhagen. Between the age of 18-35, she would go to university in Boston & Rome, return to NY working for Kevin Krier Productions in fashion show, event production & set design, later in the PR and event departments of Vivienne Westwood, Bulgari & Hugo Boss - and eventually becoming event director of Georg Jensen jewellery & Italian menswear federation - living in LA, San Francisco, Copenhagen, Rome & London.

Many of her childhood summers were spent in Capri, Italy - where she experienced many special moments in her life while vacationing there with family - and although she didn't go back to Capri between the age of 18-30, she never forgot the magic she felt at certain moments in her life there as a child. That same magic and fate eventually brought her back many years later.

After working for some of the most well-known fashion & jewelry brands in the world & working on high end launches & events worldwide, she decided to shuffle her life around and bring her 12 years of experience of designing events for luxury brands into her own company and create events in some of the magical locations she had been longing to return to from her childhood.

Thus, Sugokuii Events was born in Italy in 2010 specializing in the areas of Italy she loved the most; Southern Italy and designing a few select events per year with an emphasis on Capri, the Amalfi Coast, Puglia & Sicily. Today Sugokuii Events has their main design office & showroom in Rome, a smaller office in Capri and has recently retained a studio office in Manhattan which enables Diana to meet with clients at any office, as well as travel to clients' residences around the world & country most convenient to them. 

Diana retains to this day the initial goal of only taking on 3-5 special projects & select events per year and only designing events which feel genuinely Italian. She can easily guide her clients into determining which part of Italy represents them the most, in order to identify which region is best suited for their event.

With 20+ years of international event experience behind her, Diana frequently appears on lists of the best wedding & event planners in the world and is recognized as one of Italy’s leading event planners. Her work has been recognized in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Town & Country, W Magazine, Coveteur, Elle and many more.

She also takes on special collaborations & consulting projects for hotels, restaurants, beach clubs & international brands in & outside Italy looking to achieve a niche Italian vibe & design for their venue/hotel/restaurant, as well as sourcing and development of custom tableware & homeware collaborations wanting to achieve a Capri/Amalfi Coast/Southern Italian look & design.

Diana & her team are based between Rome all year around, Capri in summer and New York in winter and works directly with all her private clients and brands worldwide.
